Version 4.2 (OPRA) Release Date
Dear
Colleague:
NYEIS Version
4.2 is scheduled to be made available to users on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.
This version is being released to implement the Medicaid program requirement to
include the ordering/prescribing/referring/attending (OPRA) provider
information on all claims for services paid for by Medicaid. Upon release of this
version (August 26, 2015), all billing providers will be required to add the
referring provider’s NPI on all claims for service coordination, evaluations
(including screenings, core, bi-lingual add on and supplemental evaluation
claims), and all other general services. This requirement applies to claims
regardless of the date of service. There is no ability to bypass this claiming
edit in NYEIS once the new version is promoted and referring provider data is
required whether a child is Medicaid eligible, has other third party commercial
insurance or no insurance coverage.
In order to
deploy this version, NYEIS will be unavailable beginning on Tuesday, August 25,
2015 at 5:00 PM through Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 8:00 AM. Please do not
attempt to log into NYEIS or enter data during this period (Tuesday, August 25,
2015 at 5:00 PM through Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 8:00 AM). Doing so may
result in loss of your data and potentially delay the release of this new
version.
