Medicaid Sweep Schedule

To EI Billing Providers:

In December 2013, PCG began conducting periodic “Medicaid Sweeps.” The purpose of the Sweep is to recoup payments owed by the Medicaid program for payments made through the escrow account and for which Medicaid coverage is now available. The impact is that EI Billing Providers may see an increase in Medicaid payments, and a corresponding debit in the next escrow payment cycle to their escrow account.

Going forward, PCG will be conducting a monthly Medicaid Sweep. The Sweep will occur during the third week of the month. For each instance, a notice will be posted on EI Billing stating the date of the Sweep, and which Medicaid payment cycle the Sweep will take effect.
