New York Early Intervention System (NYEIS) Electronic Mailing List ICD Code 315.4 in NYEIS
Dear Colleague:
This announcement is to notify NYEIS users of a brief interruption in the use of ICD Code 315.4. The code description was being updated in NYEIS to more accurately reflect Early Intervention Program (EIP) guidance, however, the change caused the code to become inactive and temporarily removed from several ICD Searches within NYEIS. Additionally, if this code was included on a claim, the result was a denial due to an “Invalid ICD code”. CMA is investigating and addressing this issue. To date they have restored the code to the original description and active status. Any claims recently rejected due to an “Invalid ICD code” (315.4) will be able to be resubmitted once CMA has confirmed that claim processing is working properly. Please do not resubmit claims impacted until further notice. UPDATE (8/22):
This announcement is to notify NYEIS users that CMA has investigated and addressed the issue surrounding ICD Code 315.4. Claims recently rejected due to an “Invalid ICD code” (315.4) can be resubmitted. Claims submitted into NYEIS prior to 12:00 Noon on Saturday 8/23/2014 will be processed in the next invoice batch scheduled for Saturday evening. Claims that pass all invoice validations and receive the status of “System Approved” will be included in the scheduled weekly transmission to the State Fiscal Agent next week for processing.
If you have further questions, please contact the NYEIS helpdesk at nyeis@cma.com or by phone at (518) 640-8390.
Thank you.
