Service Coordination Tool Kits and OPWDD Recorded Webinar

Dear Colleague:

As a result of amendments to Public Health Law enacted in 2012, that became effective in January and April 2013, service coordinators in the Early Intervention Program (EIP) have expanded responsibilities. In an effort to assist service coordinators with the performance of these duties, the Department is pleased to announce that the Tool Kits for Service Coordinators, Insurance fillable forms, OPWDD webinar are now posted to the Bureau’s webpage at: http://www.health.ny.gov/community/infants_children/early_intervention/.  

The Service Coordination Tool Kits are comprehensive and detail the procedures service coordinators should follow while performing their responsibilities in the EIP. Service coordinators should begin utilizing the information and the standardized templates contained in the tool kits immediately.
