New Medicaid Remittance Rules Will Not Affect EI Billing Providers Payment

 Dear Colleague:

Early Intervention Program Billing Providers will receive new guidance from Medicaid about the new timing rules for receiving remittance data for claims sent to Medicaid through the State Fiscal Agent (SFA). This communication is titled “Medicaid Required by Federal Law to Change Electronic Remittance Delivery Date.”

THIS GUIDANCE DESCRIBES A CHANGE IN RECEIPT OF REMITTANCE DATA BY THE SFA.  THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR THE MEDICAID PROGRAM.

Electronic remittance that PCG as the State Fiscal Agent currently receives will now be available two days prior to the release of funds.

This change will not affect your current schedule of payments from Medicaid or the amount paid to you.

More Information on these changes and CORE Operating Rules can be found at: http://www.caqh.org/ORMandate_index.php

Thank You.
